IRNA – The hearing session of trial for 13 people charged with importing mobile phones with official exchange rate but selling them at free market price began in revolutionary courts in Tehran.
Fighting economic corruption has intensified during recent months in Iran and several economic saboteurs have recently been tried in Tehran.
In the same vein, President Hassan Rouhani attended Majlis on August 28th to answer questions raised by Iranian lawmakers about 5 different issues including his government's failure to control goods and currency smuggling.
According to the intelligence minister, combating corruption helps conquer the economic war imposed by the US on Iran.
Today's hearing session was the third to hear the cases related to manipulating the Forex and cell phone markets.
Earlier other people were tried in two hearing sessions on the same offence.
