Senior cleric: US dares not to attack Iran

24 Aug 2018 - 20:44

IRNA – Tehran's interim Friday prayers leader Ayatollah Mohammad-Ali Movahhedi Kermani said on Friday that the United States does not dare attacking Iran as it is worried about Israel's security.

Ayatollah Movahhedi Kermani made the remarks addressing a large crowd of Friday worshippers in the Iranian capital.

Referring to recent comments by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei that today Israel is within Iran's reach, Ayatollah Movahhedi Kermani said that the least wrongdoing either by Israel or by the United States will have dangerous consequences for them and will make them regret.

The US cannot wage a war against Iran, the Ayatollah quoted Ayatollah Khamenei as saying. The Friday Prayers interim leader added that the Supreme Leader intended to inform the group of individuals, worrying the United States, that the US cannot invade Iran, not because it feels pity for the Iranian people, rather because had it been able to do anything with war it would not have hesitated to do so.

'Trump is angry about spending 7,000 billion dollars in the region because it could not do a damn thing and earned nothing,' the Ayatollah said, adding that, 'It received the cost of staying in Syria's Kurdistan from Saudi Arabia and is aiming to take from the Arab countries the cost of their security against Iran.'
