IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi denounced Friday suicide attack in Afghanistan’s Paktia province.
Expressing solidarity with the Afghan government, nation and families of the victims, he said, “Imported and imposed terrorism on the Afghan people is seeking to sow discord among the Afghans by spreading insecurity.”
Such plots will be certainly be foiled through vigilance of the Kabul government and perpetrators of the crimes will be accountable for committing such crimes, he said.
Afghan Interior Ministry announced that during terrorist attack on the worshippers at Imam Zaman (AS) Mosque in Paktia province, eastern Afghanistan, 31 people were killed and 81 others wounded.
Attackers first opened fire on the guards of the mosque and then entered it to hit worshippers.
Taliban in a statement denied any role in the attack.
