IRNA – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stressed on the fact that China is to continue cooperation with Iran in the bilateral, regional and international levels, especially preserving Iran nuclear deal.
Wang Yi made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Friday and on the sidelines of the 51st session of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
He also referred to Iran nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) as the outcome of diplomacy.
Zarif, for his part, described China as an important country and a strategic partner for Iran.
He also underlined developing bilateral relations and finding innovative ways for achieving JCPOA benefits.
He pointed to China role in signing and implementing Iran deal as vital.
Iran's foreign minister arrived in Singapore on Wednesday to attend the 51st session of ASEAN.
During his stay in Singapore, Zarif on Thursday signed a document on Iran's joining the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC).
