IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani reiterated continued attendance of Iranian families in stadiums to watch sports games.


He made the remarks in response to report by the minister of sports and youth on presence of Iranian families in Azadi Stadium to watch Iranian games in 2018 World Cup via a big screen.

President called for continuation of families’ presence in stadiums in a suitable manner, urging Interior Ministry to cooperate in this respect.

Part of Soltanifar’s report said that for the first time since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, Iranian families attended Azadi Stadium to watch Iran’s football games with its rivals in 2018 World Cup.

They observed Islamic values during their attendance in the stadium, drawing a suitable social reflection inside and outside the country, the report said.
