Iran Pres' message in Uganda

12 Jul 2018 - 16:43

IRNA – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's special envoy to Uganda, Morteza Sarmadi, delivered his message about Iran Deal to the Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni on Thursday.

Saying that he and his country have been closely following the developments of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, also known as Iran Deal, President Museveni added that the unilateral move of the US to quit the deal is unacceptable and urged all, especially powerful countries, to strengthen multilateralism.

In the meeting, President Rouhani's envoy detailed on the US move and its consequences for the international peace and security, and called for harmonized position of independent countries against the policies.

Sarmadi said the US decision to pull out of the JCPOA was contradictory to the international commitments of the country.

He hoped that other signatories of the deal will propose comprehensive package to reassure Iran that it can use all the promised benefits of the deal.
