MNA The Iranian Ambassador to Seoul Hassan Taherian has said that the US unlawful withdrawal from Iran nuclear deal has turns on North Korea's pessimism about talks with the United States.
With regard to the JCPOA, the United States vilated a global and international agreement, and this has made them (North Koreans) worried and skeptical, Taherian said in an interview with theIslamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Saturday.
The North Korean leader must have seen what the United States did to Iran nuclear deal, he said, adding "there is no guarantee that the next [US] administration will accept the [possible North Korea-US] agreement."
The Iranian ambassador further said that Donald Trumps new demands and the possibility of the US Congress opposition to the North Korean talks are challenges to North Korea-US talks.
He said the increased North Korean missilerange and their threat against the US mainland were factors that pushed the United States toward the talks, adding Trump does not care about the South Korea and Japans security at all.
Taherian emphasized "China's adherence to UN sanction against Pyongyang was another factor behind the Kim-Trump talks, noting that China is Pyongyang's largest trading partner, and about 80 percent of North Korea's trade is with Beijing.
He furthermore said"if China, which played a major role in North Korea-US talks, stops its support for the negotiations, they will will fail.
