Iran, Russia open socio-cultural studies center in Moscow

MNA – In a ceremony attended by Ghahreman Soleymani, the Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Russia, Iran-Russia social-cultural studies center opened in Russian New University (RosNOU) on Thursday in Moscow.







Iran and Russia opened a joint social and cultural center in Russian New University (RosNOU) on Thursday in Moscow.

In the opening ceremony held at Iran’s chamber in RosNOU University, Ghahreman Soleymani, the Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Russia, accompanied the university’s Rector Vladimir Zernov and a host of students and professors of RosNOU.

Mr. Zernov, at the same venue, referred to purpose-oriented relations between RosNOU and Iranian universities and added that cooperation on cultural areas and academic studies contribute to expanding scientific and cultural cooperation between the two countries.

“Considering how Russian students of Persian language are interested in Iran and Persian language, it is very beneficial to have them travel to Iran to complete their lingual knowledge and get familiar with the cultural capacities of Iran; something that can be achieved through agreements signed with Iranian scientific centers,” said the Russian academician.

The Iranian cultural envoy to Moscow, for his part, hailed the event and opening of the new center and added that opening social-cultural studies center of Iran and Russia can pave the way for more important decisions to be made by the officials of the two countries.
