Iran fields ‘massive’ number of missile launchers
An Iranian semi-official news agency reports the country has fielded a “massive” number of new long-range missile launchers. The Sunday report by Fars quotes Defense Minister Gen. Ahmad Vahidi as saying the new weapons enable Iranian forces to “crush the enemy” with the mass simultaneous fire of long-range surface-to-surface missiles.

 
Iran censures US for meddling remarks on election
Tehran has criticized Secretary of State John Kerry and other US officials for their interfering remarks about Iran’s upcoming presidential election. Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said on Saturday that according to the Algiers Accords, the United States has agreed not to meddle in Iran’s internal affairs.

 
Tehran hits back at French claims against Iran’s election process
Iran has lashed out at French Foreign Ministry spokesman Philippe Lalliot over his recent remarks on the forthcoming presidential election in the Islamic Republic. In a statement released on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Araqchi called on French authorities to avoid interfering in the internal affairs of other countries and urged them to address their own domestic problems instead.

 
Bolivian president calls for enhanced ties with Iran
Bolivian President Evo Morales has stressed the need for further cooperation between his country and Iran, particularly in the joint struggle against global hegemony. In a meeting with Iranian Vice President for International Affairs Ali Saeedlou in Kito on the sidelines of the swearing-in ceremony of the Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa on Saturday, Morales expressed gratitude for Iran’s assistance to the Bolivian government and nation, and called for the all-out promotion of ties between La Paz and Tehran in regional and international arenas.

 
Iran denounces deadly terror bombing in Baghdad
Tehran has roundly condemned a terror bombing in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, which left a number of Iranian pilgrims dead and several others wounded. Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Araqchi warned that growing attacks against Iranian pilgrims overseas are part of an ongoing plot to foment religious divisions in the Muslim world.
