Turkey thanks Iran's rescue teams

IRNA – Turkish Deputy Ambassador to Tehran Murat Mohajeroghlu on Monday thanked the efforts by Iran's rescue teams who played active role in finding Turkey's crashed plane and transferring the corpses down the mountain.

In a meeting with Governor-General of Chaharmahal-Bakhtiyari Eqbal Abbasi, he described the efforts of the Iranian rescue teams as satisfactory.

Abbasi briefed Turkish deputy ambassador on the timely measures taken by the Iranian rescue teams in dealing with the accident.

The dead bodies of eleven passengers were found in the arduous Helen Mountains after 15 hours of rescue operation.

An 80-member rescue team, some 20 vehicles and 6 ambulances were present in the search operation.

Member families of the victims along with eight-member Turkish technicians arrived in Share-kord airport to assess the accident.

Two black box which was found in the search operation was delivered to police officials who were present at the scene of the accident.

The private jet plane left Sharjah in the UAE for Istanbul on Sunday night, but crashed with Dorak Anari range of mountains of Kiyar city.

All passengers on board and flight attendants were killed in the accident.
