Iraq closes three unofficial border crossings with Iran

IRNA - The Islamic Republic of Iran Consulate General in Erbil, Iraq, announced in a statement on Sunday that Baghdad has closed three of its unofficial border crossings with Iran.


According to the statement, the unofficial joint border crossings including Qasim Rash Vashkan Sardasht, Shushemi Paveh and Sheikh Saleh Salas-e Babajani were closed as of Saturday (Feb 3, 2018).

Meanwhile, Samal Abdulrahman, head of Kurdistan's Customs Department said that closing the unofficial border crossings is not related to this office and other official border crossings will continue their activities as ever.
