IFP- Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi has condemned the Saturday terrorist attack in the Afghan capital of Kabul in which dozens of innocent people were killed and wounded.
In a statement on Saturday, Qassemi denounced the attack and sympathized with the families of the victims and also the Afghan nation and government.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has consistently emphasized the necessity of continuous struggle against terrorism in all of its forms and has shown its determination in this regard.”
He also added that Iran believes honest efforts and cooperation between the countries of the region is the only way to deal with the ominous phenomenon of terrorism.
Over 60 people have been killed and more than 150 injured after a car bomb explosion hit the Afghan capital Kabul on Saturday.
The explosion took place near the former building of Afghanistan’s Interior Ministry, close to foreign embassies and governmental buildings.
The Taliban terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
