IRNA – Although Twitter corporation is legally banned from having activity in Iran, the Iranians are not banned from Twitter access, Iran's Minister of Communications and Information Technology said on Saturday.
Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi made the remarks speaking during a conference in the southern Iranian province of Fars, when asked about his joining Twitter.
No judge can issue a verdict banning social networks, Azari Jahromi said, adding, 'This will require a Parliament legislation.'
Noting that he does not use VPN, the minister said that some Iranian people have access to unfiltered internet because of their posts.
