Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has unveiled the Islamic Republic’s new achievements in the field of renewable energy.
At a Sunday ceremony in the Iranian capital city, Tehran, President Ahmadinejad unveiled a 10-kilowatt fuel cell, which simultaneously converts hydrogen into electricity and heat.
Iran plans to enhance the capacity of the non-polluting device, which can be used in the automobile and transportation industry.
The Iranian president also unveiled Iran’s other achievements in the field of renewable energy technology, including a 100-watt molten-carbonate fuel cell, a two-megawatt wind turbine, a plasma waste treatment system (for the disposal of toxic wastes), a crane for repairing wind turbines and the production line of basic materials for wind turbine wings.
President Ahmadinejad also unveiled Iran’s roadmap for the development of wind farms.
