Setting fire to King Salman portrait marks Saudi defeat in Palestine

11 Dec 2017 - 18:02

MNA – Deputy Commander of IRGC Hossein Salami said “burning photos of the Saudi King and shouting slogans against him in Palestine are new phenomena that mark the defeat of Saudi policies in Palestine, Yemen, Syria and Lebanon.”

Brigadier General Salami made the remarks during the Conference on the Security Order in West Asia, noting “it is generally acknowledged that certain regions have been trouble spots ravaged by numerous wars.”

“West Asia is a strategic spot for the Zionist regime that provides it with security and is consequently the intersection where international and regional strategies clash. As you bear witness, all the recent wars have broken out in this region,” he said.

Calling the Zionist regime part of the colonialist nature of the US, Brigadier General Salami said “the world arrogance is after disintegrating the regional countries into weak governments and the Zionist regime serves as the source of tension for the region.”

Salami asserted that Iran no longer considers Israel a threat and said “it took six years to defeat terrorist groups, and the US was incapable, for the first time, of engaging in military intervention. The US is no longer capable of fighting Islam, so it resorted to proxy wars and supported Takfiri terrorists with all its might. All its plots led, nonetheless, to the victory of the Resistance Front over the US.”

IRGC Deputy Commander highlighted the fact that the US measures in west Asia led to the formation of complementary powers for the Islamic governments in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon and added “popular forces guarantee the power of central governments in the world of Islam and forces of Iraq, Syria, Iran, Lebanon, Afghanistan and Pakistan fight a common enemy.”

Brigadier General attributed the victories of the Resistance Front to its leadership and said “the leader of Islamic revolution has successfully led the Resistance Front toward accomplishing victory over the enemy.”

Discussing the transformations in Palestine, Salami said “burning pictures of the Saudi King and shouting slogans against him in Palestine are new phenomena that mark the defeat of Saudi policies in Palestine, Yemen, Syria and Lebanon.”

“Regional security and stability can only be maintained after the elimination of the Zionist regime,” he concluded.
