IRNA – Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said on Friday that the murder of an Iranian national young man by the US police is under investigation.
Bijan Qeisar, who was shot three times on the head by Virginia police on November 17, succumbed to his injuries 10 days later.
He was reportedly unarmed when fatally shot by the police.
Describing the US police act to shoot dead the man as 'unacceptable' and 'unconventional', Qasemi told reporters that Iran will follow up the case thorough the Swiss embassy in Tehran and other existing channels.
Noting that Iran pays due attention to the affairs of its citizens all across the world, the spokesman said that the shooter could have been arrested and brought to justice.
