IRNA – Iranian foreign minister on Tuesday urged the use of all capacities to develop economic and trade relations between Tehran and Yerevan.


There are a great deal of capacities 'for deepening of Tehran and Armenia relations and they should be used for development of economic and trade relations', Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said in a meeting with Iranian and Armenian entrepreneurs.

There are good potentials for cooperation between Iran and Armenia in the fields of science and technology, energy, agriculture and other fields, the Iranian embassy in Yerevan quoted Zarif as saying.

He also highlighted the two countries' capacities for joint production of commodities and exporting them to Russia and the Eurasian states.

During the meeting, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian referred to common borders between the two neighboring countries and membership of Armenia in the Eurasian Economic Union and said that the Iranian traders can gain access to Eurasia market via Armenia.

He also called for increase of cooperation between Iran's Aras and Armenia's Mogri free trade zones for production of goods and their export to the Eurasian countries.
