MNA – Heads of several states and other high-ranking officials from all around the globe have sent messages of condolences to Iran over the Sunday night’s deadly quake which has so far killed over 500 people and wounded more than 9000.


Russian President Vladimir Putin and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau were among the first world leaders who condoled with Iran over the tragic incident.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah, Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon, Kuwaiti Emir Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Azeri President Ilham Aliyev, Vietnamese President Tr?n ??i Quang, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian, Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Greece Nikos Kotzias also in separate messages expressed sympathy with the Iranian nation and government.

Following the strong 7.3 magnitude quake on Sunday night, Western regions of Iran, particularly residential areas in the province of Kermanshah, have felt scores of death toll, injuries and damages.
