IRNA – Senior Iranian and French officials held talks in a meeting Wednesday on the international, regional and bilateral questions.
The meeting was attended by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Euro-American Affairs Majid Takht-e Ravanchi and Chairman of Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Armed Forces of French Senate Christian Cambon.
Durin the meeting, Cambon said his country is determined to deepen ties with Iran, and strongly supports the 2015 nuclear deal.
The two sides further discussed other important issues, including Tehran-Paris cooperation in countering regional challenges and threats, the importance of ensuring regional peace and stability and the important role Iran plays in the region.
Iran and the six world powers (the US, the UK, France, China, Russia and Germany) signed a landmark nuclear deal on July 14, 2015.
