IRNA - Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano arrived in Iran on Saturday evening to confer with Iranian officials.


Amano is expected to hold talks with Vice President and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi on Sunday .

US President Donald Trump on October 13 took a new strategy towards Iran and decertified Tehran's commitment to the 2015 landmark nuclear deal also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Trump's approach has been criticized by many countries, international bodies, political communities and world media.

This is while the IAEA has already verified Iran's commitment to nuclear deal eight times.
