MNA– Brigadier General Ahmadreza Pourdastan stressed Sat. that the West has no business meddling in Iran’s missile program or the country’s military sites.
Pourdastan’s reaction came in response to the possibility of negotiations on Iran’s missile program by the West.
“Our missile capabilities are by no means negotiable,” he stressed.
On Thursday, the US House passed new sanctions on Iran’s ballistic missile program, representing the first action from Congress against the Islamic Republic since President Donald Trump earlier this month decertified the country’s compliance with the nuclear deal.
The House also passed a sanctions bill on Wednesday imposing penalties on Iran for supporting Hezbollah.
Pourdastan went on to highlight Iran’s clear-cut stance on the country’s defense sector, adding “inspection of our military sites is off limits to anyone and any country.”
Elsewhere, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Iranian Army touched upon the recent developments in Syria, hailing the good coordination between the Syrian armed forces and Iranian military advisers.
“When we review the situation of takfiri terrorists in Syria, we see that they are in the stage of retreat and complete eradication,” he said. “In a few months’ time, we will witness the annihilation of terrorist groups in Syria.”
