IRNA – Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif met with Ugandan Foreign Minister Sam Kutesa in the Ugandan capital on Wednesday.
During their meeting, both Zarif and Kutesa emphasized enhancement of political, economic and commercial relations between the two nations.
The top diplomats also examined regional and international issues.
Javad Zarif and Kutesa after their meeting attended a business forum participated by Ugandan and Iranian economic delegations.
Iran's Foreign Minister, heading of a high-ranking delegation, arrived in the Ugandan capital on Tuesday evening. He is expected to meet as well Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.
Prior to his Kampala visit, Zarif and his delegation visited Pretoria, South Africa.
