IRNA – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani left Tehran for St. Petersburg, Russia, on Thursday to attend 137th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) meeting.

IPU is to be kicked off on Saturday in St. Petersburg.

The IPU meeting is themed 'Promoting cultural diversity and peace through religious and ethnic dialogue'.

During the six-day visit, Larijani is to define Iran's stances in dealing with global developments in mutual meeting with his participating counterparts.
