IRNA – Iran's top nuclear official Ali Akbar Salehi met British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson in the British capital on Wednesday.
The talks between Salehi and Johnson were, reportedly, mainly focused on developing cooperation and more engagements between Tehran and London.
The head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), arrived in the British capital on Tuesday evening.
Salehi's visit to Britain is taking place at the invitation of Johnson.
Upon arrival, Salehi told the correspondent of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) that during his almost two-day stay in the country, he is expected, in addition to meeting the British foreign secretary, to visit parliamentarians and media elites as well as the UK foreign secretary's scientific advisor.
He is also scheduled to have a visit to a factory that is world-famous for making particle accelerators.
Before heading to London, Salehi had participated in the 20th Edoardo Amaldi Conference on International Cooperation for Enhancing Nuclear Safety, Security, Safeguards and Non-Proliferation in Rome.
