IRNA – Cinema plays the most powerful role in changing the lifestyle, Iran's Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs Massoumeh Ebtekar said.
Cinema can help fight crises which 'threaten the future of humanity,' Ebtekar said on Friday at the closing ceremony of the 6th Iran International Green Film Festival (IIGFF) held in the Iranian capital.
The former head of Iran's Department of Environment, citing Iranian artists, also said that 'if we want to turn the issue of environment into public culture, we have to bring the issue to cinema.'
Pointing to holding of several rounds of Iran International Green Film Festival in the past years, the official said that the event has reverberated greatly across the world.
Iran's International Green Film Festival has been recognized by the world, Ebtekar stressed.
The week-long festival, opened in Tehran on September 9, was attended by high-ranking Iranian officials as well as foreign and domestic cinema people.
