IRNA – According to Scopus website's report, Iran's rank in growth of scientific articles reached first in 2016, while it was 10th in 2016, said an Iranian science and research official on Monday.
Deputy Minister for Research & Technology at the Ministry of Sciences, Research and Technology Vahid Ahmadi said, 'Iran's share in science production reached 2.4% in 2016 from 1.4% in 2012.'
Ahmadi said that according to ISI website, Iran's science production has changed from 1.37% in 2012 to 1.95 in 2017; and according to Scopus website it has changed from 1.50% in 2012 to 1.97 in 2017.'
Iran's growth in registered documents in the ISI website was 7% in 2013 and reached 20% in 2016, he said.
Ahmadi added, 'Iran has shown a tremendous leap in the number of registered documents published in the first quartile of the scientific magazines. The number was 6,500 in 2012 that reached 8,250 in 2016.'
He also said that in nuclear physics Iran held the 17th rank in 2012, but became 14th in 2015; and in nanotechnology Iran has moved up from seventh to fifth.
