MNA – In separate messages on Mon., Parl. Speaker Ali Larijani and FM Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi extended their congratulations to young Iranian volleyball players on winning the title at 2017 FIVB Volleyball Boy’s U19 World Championship in Bahrain.


“The tall young volleyball players of the Islamic Republic of Iran outshined the world by claiming the world’s championship title for the Iranian nation,” said Ali Larijani in his message on Monday.

Both Larijani and Bahram Ghasemi extended their felicitations to the volleyball players, their families, coaches, and ?he Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation over the remarkable championship.

The Iran men's national under-19 volleyball team trounced South Korea in straight sets in a semi-final showdown on Saturday and advanced to the final round where they defeating Russia 3-1 (25-20, 25-23, 21-25, 25-20) and claiming the championship title at the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Boy’s U19 World Championship hosted by Bahrain. Japan settled for bronze medal after thrashing South Korea 3-0.
