IRNA – Iran's accredited ambassador to Iceland Mohammad Hassan Habibollah Zadeh submitted his credentials to the country's President Guoni Johannesson in an official ceremony late on Wednesday.

During the ceremony, Iran's envoy presented a report on Iran-Iceland bilateral relations and voiced Tehran's readiness for promoting relations with Iceland, particularly in the economic fields.

Iceland president recalled Iran's significant status and historic record urging promoting relations in all fields.

Despite the fact that Iran and Iceland are located in two different geographical areas, there are suitable capacities for promoting relations.
