SHANA - Iraq sent a high-profile delegation to the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum to relate Iraqi Oil Minister's congratulation message to Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh for his reappointment in President Rouhani's second-term cabinet.






The delegation met with Mr. Zangeneh Tuesday evening in his Tehran office to convey to him Iraqi Oil Minister Jabar Ali al-Luaibi's congratulation on his reappointment as Iran's minister of petroleum by a parliament approval earlier this week.

Iran and Iraq are both members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and are in talks for jointly developing their shared oil and gas fields.

During the meeting, Zangeneh voiced Iranian Ministry of Petroleum's readiness to enhance energy ties with Iraq.
