IRNA – The safe presence of foreign tourists in Iran will result in foiling Iranophobia, Iranian envoy to Malaysia Marzieh Afkham said.
Afkham made the remarks Saturday on the sidelines of her visit to Semnan province.
She referred to tourists as playing major role in linking nations in diplomacy.
Iran has taken the approach to attract tourists based on reinforcing infrastructures and paying attention to different aspects of tourism industry, Afkham added.
She pointed to Malaysian tourism activists' participation in Iran as the first step in starting an effective and long-term activity.
