MNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif landed in Istanbul on Tuesday leading a high-ranking political delegation.
Zarif is slated to attend an extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on recent developments in Palestine.
“Given the recent developments in the occupied territories and increasing pressure on the Palestinian people, especially in Qods, an urgent need is felt for cooperation among Islamic countries,” Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi said on Monday while clarifying the aim of the visit.
