MNA – An Iranian humanoid team from Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) finished third in Teen Size category at RoboCup 2017 in Japan.
The AUT Teen Size humanoid team managed to land third during the technical competitions of the RoboCup 2017, competing against other teams from Japan, China, Germany, India, and Taiwan.
The 21st round of RoboCup is currently underway since July 27 in Nagoya, Japan, with participation of over 200 teams from various universities, schools and institutes of 48 countries across the world.
AUT is taking part in the international event with five teams in Rescue Simulation League, Rescue CoSpace, Small Size Soccer League, RoboCup@work, and Humanoid League.
In the first two days of the competitions, the AUT Teen Size Humanoid team managed to defeat the German team from last year’s champion, and qualify for the semi-finals.
Iranian teams won 13 titles in the previous edition of RoboCup hosted by Germany.
