IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif had no plan to hold talks with his American counterpart Rex W. Tillerson.


Qasemi on Friday rejected all news released in cyberspace as regard Zarif meeting with Tillerson.

Foreign Minister earlier told Iranian representatives in the United Nations that he had no plan to visit US senior officials.

Zarif also noted that he is scheduled to hold meeting with American elites who affect US policy making.

The Iranian minister arrived in New York on July 14, to take part in a high-level UN meeting on sustainable development.

He had separate meetings with UN officials as well as his counterparts from a number of countries.

While in States, he also participated in interviews with different US think tanks and media.
