IRNA -- Chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Tuesday that the US and Zionist regime created extremism and terrorism to deal a blow to Islam and world Muslims.


Boroujerdi said in a meeting with the head of the Patriotic Party (Turkish: Vatan Partisi), a left-wing political party in Turkey, Do?u Perinçek in Tehran on Tuesday.

The Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkey as two big and Muslim countries shoulder grave responsibility in bolstering unity among world Muslims under the current circumstances, Borjoujerdi said.

The US, Zionist regime along with the regional allies invented extremism and terrorism to deal a blow on Islam and the Muslim world, he said.

The US is not trustable, he said, adding that they have proven many times that they even sacrifice their allies to attain their illegal interests.

Expansion of all-out cooperation between Iran and Turkey will be to the benefit of both countries, Boroujerdi said.

Sowing the seeds of discords and triggering ethnical-religious conflicts are among main goals of the enemies of Islam, he said.

Head of the Vatan Party Do?u Perinçek, for his part referred to religious and cultural commonalities between Iran and Turkey and said Turkey welcomes expansion of all-out relations and cooperation with Iran.

Turkey’s change of strategy from west to east mainly on Iran and countries in west Asia will meet the country’s national interests and security, he said.
