IRNA – Iran enjoys satisfactory security conditions and there is no problems in the border areas of the country, Police Commander Brigadier General Hossein Ashtari says.
Ashtari made the remarks on the sidelines of the 13th Operational Working Group Meeting on International Counter-Terrorism Mechanism which started work on Monday in Tehran.
He hoped that the terrorist groups who intend to threaten people to take a lesson from the timely reaction by the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps and abandon their activities.
Ashtari also wished for the conference to bring about good results for the regional countries and the world as well.
The two-day conference is attended by 75 officials from 29 regional and international organizations in counter-terrorism sector, including the Secretary-General of The International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) Jurgen Stock.
The topics of the meetings include integrating efforts to promote the Interpol Organization, monitoring and neutralization of foreign terrorist movements and curbing terrorism financial sources, according to the Iranian official.
