IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said on Monday that 10 consulate members of the Iranian ministry of foreign affairs will accompany the Iranian pilgrims to provide the necessary services.
Speaking in his weekly press conference, Qasemi said, “Iran and Saudi Arabia don’t have diplomatic relations; last year Iran didn’t send anyone on Hajj, but based on the consensus on the issue in Iran, the necessary negotiations were held with the Saudi officials.”
So far, the decision is to send pilgrims; the basics have been arranged and some teams have been sent to Saudi Arabia, said Qasemi.
