IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani is scheduled to swear in as 12th president of Islamic Republic on August 5, 2017, Majlis(parliament) public relations office announced.
The official inauguration ceremony for President Rouhani will be held in Majlis and he will perform the oath of office beside Sadeq Larijani, head of Judiciary System of Iran.
Before attending the Majlis inauguration ceremony, the President will attend a ceremony in which he will receive his presidential precept from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The president, after being sworn in, would be given a two-week period of time to introduce his cabinet line-up to the Parliament.
Within a week since the introduction session, the Parliament would vet the candidate ministers and the vote-of-confidence sessions would be held at the Parliament.
Hassan Rouhani overwhelmingly won the presidential election on May 19, sweeping 57% of the vote.
