MNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif has arrived the German capital in order to meet with political and economic authorities of the European country.
Upon arrival in Berlin, Mohammad Javad Zarif was welcomed by officials of German Foreign Ministry and is scheduled to attends sessions with President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel, Minister of Finance is Wolfgang Schäuble as well as Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy ?Brigitte Zypries.
During the joint meetings, Iran’s minister of foreign affairs will mull over various issues including international and bilateral cooperation especially in economic and banking sectors.
Zarif will also deliver a speech at the opening ceremony of the annual meeting of European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR).
Another keynote speaker on the opening day of ECFR Annual Council Meeting includes Zarif’s German counterpart Sigmar Gabriel.
Speaking at the Corber Foundation, one of the most important European think tanks, as well as a meeting with German industry and company owners are also on agenda of Zarif’s two-day trip to Germany.
Iran’s FM will later depart for Italy in order to meet and talks with Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni as well as his counterpart ?Angelino Alfano.
The ECFR Annual Council Meeting is one of the leading conferences on Europe’s foreign policy to be held in Berlin on 26 & 27 June 2017, in the context of the campaign for the German federal election.
