Shamkhani: Quds Day truly sympathizes with world Muslims

23 Jun 2017 - 22:27

IRNA - Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani said on Friday that the International Quds Day truly sympathizes with world Muslims and other issues such as Riyadh summit or Qatar’s siege have no room in resolving the issue.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the International Quds Day rally, Shamkhani said after triumph of the Islamic Revolution in Iran many events occurred in the country to turn the issue of Quds Day and Palestine to a secondary subject but to no avail.

The strongest message which could be given to those masterminding plots against the Islamic Republic of Iran is that “re-testing of a qualified person goes wrong”.

Iran’s security is our redline and any group or country mind to harm it will be given a tough and unpredictable response, he said.

The International Quds Day was marked in Iran and other countries on Friday.

The day of anti-Zionist expression was first declared by late Imam Khomeini, the leader of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, who established the annual event in order to draw international attention to the Palestinian cause.

The Iranian demonstrators chanted anti-Israeli and anti-US slogans during the rallies.
