FNA- Iranian deputy Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi blasted the US Senate bill against Iran as contradictory to the spirit of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
"The US Senate's sanctions bill against Iran is against the principle of good will and successful implementation of the nuclear deal, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JPOA)," Araqchi said on Sunday.
The Iranian deputy foreign minister reiterated that Iran will report its objections to the US move in the next meeting of JCPOA in July, and said, "The exact date for the meeting is not decided yet and the sides are holding talks over it."
Araqchi said that the claims by American officials on Iran’s support for terrorism, are "ridiculous, repugnant and shameful".
“I think from the reactions we received of world leaders and people from various countries to the terrorist attacks on Tehran, it is clear that the world understands who is the victim of terrorism and who are the ones sponsoring it," he added.
In relevant remarks on Monday, Rapporteur of the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Seyed Hossein Naqavi Hosseini blasted Washington for not fulfilling its commitments vis-à-vis the nuclear agreement reached between Tehran and the six world powers (the US, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany) in Vienna in July 2015.
"Efforts must be made on all sides to bring the US back to the track of the full implementation of the nuclear accord," Naqavi Hosseini said.
