IRNA – Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army of Iran said during a visit to an airbase on Monday that the deterrent power of Iran is the factor behind Iran’s authority.

Saying that the standing readiness of the armed forces is among the key factors in people’s security and mental peace, Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan said that the employees of the frontier airbases do a great deal in providing the country’s security, which is thankworthy.

The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army of Iran said, “Your standing readiness is an important asset for the country and its outcome is mental peace for the Iranians, in a way that when they hear your planes fly over their heads they feel safe.”

Pourdastan added, “In the present situation and with sanctions imposed on Iranians, more serious duties are on the shoulders of our experts, among whom the air force is one of the pioneers.”
