IRNA – The first plane Iran Air has purchased from French-Italian airplane manufacturer ATR is scheduled to arrive in Tehran next week, Iran Air Managing-Director Farhad Parvaresh said on Monday.
There remains nearly six days to the final delivery of the first ATR plane to Iran, Parvaresh said.
Iran's national flag carrier signed a final agreement with ATR on April 13 for purchasing 20 passenger planes.
ATR is due to gradually deliver four of the newly-purchased planes to Iran in the near future, the official said.
Asked whether the four airplanes will be delivered at the same time, Parvaresh said it is not clear yet.
