IRNA - The 30th Tehran International Book Fair will be opened on Tuesday by Iranian Culture Minister in Shahr-e Aftab fairground venue.
The fair with the motto “Lets read one more book” will host visitors on May 3-13, from 10am to 8:30 pm.
The Undersecretary of Italsin Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Activities and Tourism Antimo Cesaro is one of the special speakers of the opening ceremony.
2,282 publishers, including 2,643 local and 139 foreign companies from 110 countries will put their books on display in an area of 135,000 square meters.
For the fair, this year, a 16.5 billion-rial ( almost $500,000) credit is allocated to subsidies for students and university professors to buy the presented books.
Istanbul, Turkey, would be the guest city, and the Italian official would be received as the guest of honor at the upcoming book fair.
This year, every day of the fair will be designated by the name of a province and a country, and throughout the day, meetings and ceremonies related to the specific nation and the ethnic group will be held.
