IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif conferred with Iraqi counterpart Ibrahim al-Jaafari on the sidelines of Ancient Civilizations Forum in Athens on Monday.


According to a report by Foreign Ministry Media Department, in the meeting the two sides discussed bilateral relations, and regional developments.

The first ministerial conference of the states of the 10 Ancient Civilizations Forum kicked off in Athens on Monday in presence of ten foreign ministers, including Mohammad Javad Zarif.

Foreign ministers from Iran, China, India, Italy, and Egypt were among participants.

Zarif held separate meetings with Greece Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Athens on Sunday.

He also met with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras in the venue of prime minister palace on Sunday evening.
