IRNA – Deputy Head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization for tourist affairs Morteza Rahmani Movahed announced 19.9 million foreign tourists have visited Iran during past 3 years.


He made the remarks in conference on ‘Dialogue of Hospitality with tourism development approach.

Rahmani Movahed said that tourism is not a political field for short-term interests, but it should strengthen the people's life-style.

Iran has earned more than $32 billion from these tourists upon global standards calculations.

He said that World Tourism Organization (WTO) has assessed expenses for every tourist in the region of West Asia as $1520 to $1750 and we took average of $1650 for each tourist.
