Iran’s envoy to Russia condemns blast in St. Petersburg

IRNA – Iran’s Ambassador to Moscow Mahdi Sanaei denounced the terrorist explosion in St. Petersburg and said the horrible incident has shocked the whole Russia.

“Killing innocent people with any purpose is condemned and denounced,” he said in an exclusive note commenting on yesterday's terrorist attack.

“The Monday tragic event indicates that terrorist security threat has no borders and boundaries in the world and the combat against it requires serious decisions made by all nations and paying careful attention to the root causes of the growth of this phenomenon,” he also said.

Yesterday, a suicidal blast in Tekhnologichesky Institut Station in St. Petersburg killed 14 people and wounded many others according to the latest reports.

The terrorist responsible for this act has been announced to be a 22-year-old Kyrgyz-born man named Akbarzhon Jalilov.
