Tasnim – Iran is one the few countries in the world having the know-how to make missiles with a margin of error below ten meters, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri said.
During a visit to an exhibition of military achievements in Iran’s southwestern city of Arvandkenar on Saturday, Major General Baqeri hailed the country’s success to gain the technical expertise to manufacture missiles which can hit the targets with a margin of error below 10 meters.
Not many of the countries have acquired the knowledge to produce such precise projectiles, the top commander added.
In March 2016, Iran test-fired two types of Qadr ballistic missiles from north of the country which could annihilate targets on the southern coasts.
The two ballistic missiles, Qadr-H and Qadr-F, were launched from the heights of East Alborz Mountains, north of Iran, and streaked along the country’s airspace for some 1,400 kilometers before hitting the targets on the Makran coasts, southeast of Iran.
Iranian officials have repeatedly underscored that the country will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities, including its missile power, which are entirely meant for defense, and that Iran’s defense capabilities will be never subject to negotiations.
