Tasnim - Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said Iran is not wasting a moment to improve its defense capabilities, as in the missile and drone industries.
“Because of the morale for defense and for countering tyranny, we have no problem in the defense arena, and are growing and developing every day in the field of defense weapons, like missiles and drones,” the IRGC commander said in an address to a cultural ceremony in the city of Qom on Tuesday.
He also highlighted the far-reaching impacts of the Islamic Revolution on the fight against the arrogant powers in the other countries, reiterating that without Iran’s help, Syria would have fallen into the hands of the enemies.
Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has on various occasions emphasized the necessity for incessant progress of the Iranian Armed Forces irrespective of political developments.
In September 2016, during a visit to an exhibition of the Defense Ministry’s achievements in Tehran, Ayatollah Khamenei said Iran has “an inalienable and absolute right” to reinforce its defensive and offensive power.
