MNA – Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan said if the US and Israel had the slightest doubt about Iran’s defense capabilities, they would have started a war against the country.  

Brig. Gen. Hossein Dehghan made the remarks on Wed. while addressing a number of officials at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, adding “in today’s chaotic and perilous world, a number of countries which consider themselves as major powers and attribute certain rights to themselves under this assumption, are making every effort to spread their circle of influence and dominance to bring other nations under their own commands.”

Noting that the Middle East region has always been under military aggression by major powers, he added “those leaders who lack a social base are themselves inviters of the entry, presence and dominance of foreign forces in this region.”

He went on to add, “the Islamic Republic of Iran is an independent political system and cannot be stopped on its path unless it gives up on its ideals and defending oppressed nation and resistance movements.”

“Iran as always backed resistance movements,” Dehghan stressed. “And our support is decisive in a way that enemies have been forced to retreat and accept defeat.”

As of now, in the defense sector and defense industries, we are working on issues that will guarantee our victory in case of conflict, he said.

“Today, in terms of intelligence estimates, we are able to identify any perceived threats to our nation and neutralize them,” he added.
