February 25, The Iran Project – The widespread presence of Chinese companies in Iran Buildex 2107 indicates that they are seeking to engage in the Islamic Republic’s building market in the post-sanctions era.
Reportedly, more than 57 foreign companies have attended Iran Buildex (Iran’s International Building Industry, Facade, Structure, and Innovative Technologies) of which more than 40 Chinese companies are ready to cooperate with Iran in the areas of sales, engineering and technology exchange.
China has made significant progress in building industry and dominated many world markets in the areas of sales and engineering services exports; however, for entering Iran’s market, the country has to face Iranian competitors who are already exporting goods and services to Persian Gulf countries such as Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and the Central Asian countries.
Referring to the increasing number of foreign countries willing to cooperate with Iran in all exhibitions, including building industry, in the post-sanctions era, Vice-president of Iran International Exhibitions Company, Siavash Amirmakri said foreign companies are better to present the exhibitions for the introduction of new technologies, not just for the sale of consumer goods.
Iran Buildex 2017 is a 4 day event being held from 25th February to 28th February 2017 at the Tehran Permanent Fair ground in the capital Tehran. The annual exhibition provides a platform for local and international companies to take advantage of major opportunities in the industry as well as to learn about the developments in the local and global markets.
